My approach is rooted in the belief that every student possesses an inherent set of capabilities that simply need the right environment to flourish. Strengths-Based Instruction I don't focus on "fixing" what is wrong; instead, I identify what is right. By leveraging a student's natural talents—identified through MBTI and Strong Inventory assessments—we build a foundation of confidence that makes tackling difficult subjects feel manageable. Meeting Students "Where They Are" Education is not one-size-fits-all. I assess a student’s current emotional and academic state before diving into content. Whether a student is dealing with burnout or a specific learning block, the pace and tone of the lesson shift to match their immediate needs. Socratic Questioning & Cognitive Reframing When a student says, "I'm just not a math person" or "I'll never get into this program," I utilize Socratic questioning to gently challenge these cognitive distortions. The Goal: To help the student uncover the evidence (or lack thereof) for their unhelpful thoughts. The Result: Moving from an emotional "I can't" to a logical "How can I?"
