My Teaching Approach
My teaching methodology is highly interactive and student-centric. Here's how I typically approach teaching mathematics:

Assess & Understand: I'll start by assessing the student's current understanding of the topic. This might involve a quick diagnostic, reviewing their homework, or simply having a conversation about what they find challenging. The goal is to pinpoint specific areas of confusion or gaps in their knowledge.

Clarify Concepts: Rather than jumping straight into problems, I'll first explain the underlying mathematical concepts in a clear, relatable way. I use analogies, visual aids, and real-world examples to make abstract ideas more concrete. My aim is for them to grasp the why before diving into the how.

Demonstrate & Model: I'll then demonstrate problem-solving steps thoroughly, often working through a few examples myself, thinking aloud through my process. This models effective problem-solving strategies and shows them how to apply the concepts.

Guided Practice: This is where the student takes the lead. I'll provide similar problems and guide them through the solution process, offering hints, asking probing questions, and correcting misconceptions in real-time. This active participation is crucial for solidifying their understanding.

Independent Practice & Feedback: Once they're comfortable, I'll encourage independent practice. We'll review their work together, providing constructive feedback and addressing any lingering questions or areas of difficulty. I emphasize understanding their mistakes as learning opportunities.

Review & Reinforce: Before concluding, we'll review the key takeaways from the session and discuss how the current topic connects to previous or future lessons. This helps reinforce learning and build a coherent understanding of mathematics as a whole.

My ultimate goal is to equip students with the tools and confidence they need to tackle math problems independently, transforming frustration into genuine accomplishment.
