I believe that academic success, especially in high-stakes exams like the SAT and IELTS, relies on strategic preparation rather than rote memorization. My teaching philosophy centers on empowering students with the critical thinking skills, time-management techniques, and core conceptual understanding they need to excel.
In my classes, I break down complex grammatical rules and reading comprehension strategies into clear, actionable steps. We focus heavily on interactive practice, active problem-solving, and targeted feedback loops. By identifying each student's unique strengths and areas for growth, I tailor our sessions to build both their academic competence and their test-taking confidence.
My approach is built on a solid foundation of academic achievement and hands-on mentoring experience. Over the past few years, I have guided many ambitious students through rigorous academic challenges:
Test Preparation & Tutoring: At the Opoku Ware School International Exams Club, I designed and delivered targeted prep strategies for the SAT (English and Math) and the IELTS, preparing students for international university admissions.
Coaching & Mentorship: As a tutor at St. Louis Senior High, I coached students for the National Sharks Quiz and the Hippo International Olympiad, successfully guiding 15 students to medal-winning performances.
Personal Academic Success: I bring first-hand experience to my teaching, having achieved a score of 1470 on the SAT (730 Reading & Writing, 740 Math) and earned a Silver Medal in the 2023 American Maths Olympiad.
Currently pursuing my degree in Public Administration and Political Science in a rigorous English-medium program at Hacettepe University, I understand what it takes to thrive in an international academic setting.
