Tarhan Ozkan

I am a native English speaker, born and raised in the East Midlands of England. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Media from the University of West London and fully TEFL certified since 2022. The reason why I chose to teach is because I have been passionate about the English language since a young age when I first started reading Shakespeare and classic English poets. I also gain a great satisfaction from interaction in a learning environment.

I enjoy teaching both adults and children in order to give them opportunities to further themselves in whatever capacity they require. I aim to provide lessons at the pace of each individual, and maintain a fun and conversational approach to learning English. I have extensive experience in private tuition. This has been beneficial in understanding the needs and levels of each person. I have been able to construct lessons based on the individual and focus on their specific aims for learning the English language.

Before teaching English I worked in hospitality and events so I understand how to be patient and have effective communication with individuals who might struggle with English. I am used to hearing many different accents because of working in London, and this has been an advantage from a communication standpoint. I am a native English speaker so I find that my grasp of the language and my pronunciation is of the highest possible standard.
