Hi! I’m an experienced English teacher living in Istanbul. I hold Teacher Training Course (TTC) certificates from Iran and am currently taking online English teaching courses offered by Arizona State University to continue developing my teaching skills.
Having learned English as a foreign language myself, I understand the challenges of building confidence, finding the right words, and speaking without worrying about mistakes. My aim is to create a welcoming environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and trying something new.
I personalize lessons around your level, goals, and interests. Whether you want to improve everyday conversation, expand your vocabulary, develop clearer pronunciation, or work on academic English, we can create a plan that suits your needs. My experience in higher education and studies in academic writing also help me support learners who want to express their academic ideas more clearly.
In our first lesson, we’ll discuss your goals and explore your current strengths and areas for improvement. Lessons usually begin with a short conversation or review, followed by activities using pictures, short texts, videos, and practical situations. You’ll have time to speak, ask questions, and use new language. I provide constructive feedback and suggest resources for practice between lessons.
My lessons are conducted entirely in English, with explanations adapted to your level. I’m also learning Turkish and am nearing the end of A1, so I appreciate the patience and encouragement that language learners need.
Outside teaching, I enjoy playing electric guitar, cooking, climbing, and watching movies and series. Your interests are welcome in our lessons too!
I offer online lessons and in-person lessons in selected areas of Istanbul, depending on location and availability. Tell me what you’d like to achieve, and let’s work towards it together!
