As an fresh graduate English teacher, I believe that a lesson should go beyond transferring knowledge—it should spark curiosity, foster interaction, and support each student’s unique learning journey. My teaching approach is student-centered and innovative, with a strong focus on communication, creativity, and active learning.
In my lessons, I begin with engaging warm-up activities or relatable questions to activate students’ prior knowledge. I use visuals, real-life contexts, and sometimes short videos to make the content more meaningful and accessible. I also encourage collaboration through pair or group tasks to help students practice language naturally and confidently.
During my teaching practicum, I had the opportunity to implement these methods in real classrooms. I planned and delivered lessons that integrated games, role-plays, and digital tools. These experiences helped me understand classroom management, adapt materials for different levels, and build positive rapport with students. I also received valuable feedback from my mentor teachers, which helped me improve continuously.
I value technology in the classroom and frequently use tools like Kahoot, Wordwall, or interactive whiteboards to create dynamic lessons. I also apply formative assessment strategies, such as observation and peer feedback, to monitor progress and adjust my teaching accordingly. I apply student-centered, creative methods supported by digital tools. During my practicum, I designed interactive lessons, encouraged communication, and adapted activities to meet learners’ diverse needs and levels.
For me, teaching is a learning process in itself. I strive to be a reflective and adaptable teacher who always seeks growth—for both my students and myself.
