Hello, I'm Iram. I have over 13 years of experience teaching English, working with students from preschool to secondary school across different countries, from Pakistan to Istanbul. I am currently a full-time English teacher at a high school in Istanbul, while also offering private online lessons and developing educational content.

My teaching approach is student-centered. I want you to do most of the talking, not me. Through guided questioning, I encourage you to think in English rather than rely on translation. I also create an English-only learning environment whenever possible because that's where lasting progress happens.

With younger learners, I focus on play-based learning, structure, and emotional safety. I even authored my own Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) activity book because I believe students learn best when they feel confident and secure. For exam preparation and advanced learners, my approach becomes more focused and goal-oriented, emphasizing writing, speaking practice, and detailed feedback based on real exam formats.

My lessons provide a balanced development of speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. I don't rely solely on textbooks; I incorporate up-to-date videos, interactive resources, and digital materials to make learning engaging and practical. I always give honest and constructive feedback, clearly explaining what you're doing well and what needs further improvement. I have experience teaching the Cambridge International (CAIE) curriculum as well as learners from A1 to B1 levels.

Throughout my career, I have coordinated academic operations for teams of 80 teachers, trained more than 100 educators, and led the transition to online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet my favorite part of teaching has never changed: seeing the moment when a student says, "Now I understand."
